Click here to view the 2014 Recycle Calendar Recycling collection occurs every other week on the same day as your trash collection. Please make sure all recyclables fit inside your recycle container. Place your recycling and trash containers at the curb between sundown on the day before collection and 6 am the day of collection. Accepted Items: Food boxes/boxboard - empty cereal and cracker boxes Brown paper bags Phone books, catalogs, and magazines Newspapers Junk Mail Office and school paper Cardboard - collapse/cut boxes before placing in container Tin and Steel cans Aluminum foil and cans Plastic bottles and containers #1 - #7 (on bottom of container) Items Not Accepted - not a complete list: Plastic bags and clear plastic wrap Video and cassette tapes Shredded paper Polystyrene Glass, plates, mugs, pots/pans Food, liquids, yard waste Carpet, cloth or textiles Used paper towels/tissues Food-soiled cardboard, (e.g., pizza boxes), paper cups/plates Automotive parts Electronic waste |
