        BUDGET PROCESS

    
 The West Bountiful City Council is in the process of establishing the budget for fiscal year 2018 which begins July 1, 2017. The tentative FY-2018 budget was adopted on May 2, 2017. The tentative 2nd amendment to the FY-2017 budget was accepted on May 16, 2107. A public hearing was held on June 6, and the final budgets will be considered by City Council on June 20.
    


           2017 ELECTION

     The following individuals have filed as Candidates to run for Mayor and two City Council seats (4 year terms).

 City Council: Kelly Enquist, Heather Gardner, Alan Malan, Gary Merrell, Mark Preece
    A Primary Election for City Council will be held on August 15, 2017 to narrow the field of candidates to four.  The General Election will be held on November 7, 2017.

   GAS PIPELINE PROJECT

     Questar Gas is in the process of replacing two high-pressure gas lines that run from North Salt Lake to Centerville, and they will be crossing West Bountiful from south to north over the course of 2017. In many cases, they will remain in their existing right-of-way, but they are also exploring moving the pipes into city streets where possible. This project will likely impact 1450 W, 400 N, Jessi’s Meadow Dr., Jessi’s Meadow Way, 1200 N, 1100 W, Pages Ln and Porter Ln.
